Harrumph!
Friday, March 24, 2000 / 04:07 p.m.

I stumbled upon Harrumph! while checking out the myriad of weblogs out there (too many to count). This is probably my favorite one, besides Evhead. Heather's design is a breath of fresh air, and her writing is straightforward and thoughtful. Quite lovely.

You Grow Girl!
Friday, March 24, 2000 / 04:02 p.m.

A breathtaking web site for female gardening fanatics (and those who just like pretty flowers). I'm no green thumb, but I love this site. Not just because it's nice on the eyes, but because it contains some vital information for girls who grow.

Mullets Galore
Friday, March 3, 2000 / 09:30 a.m.

Bored with your current hairstyle? Tell your hairdresser you want a mullet. May I suggest one of the following mullet styles: achy-breaky-bad-mistakey, ape drape, whorehouse cut, hockey hair, kentucky waterfall, mudflap, neckwarmer, or the safety cut. Just choose yer poison and let your hairdresser know what you want. If you still have no idea what a mullet is, go to Mullets Galore and read up on a very important part of our culture. And listen to your old Metallica CD's while you're at it.

Find A Grave, baby!
Friday, March 3, 2000 / 09:25 a.m.

Want to see Lucille Ball's grave? Or maybe James Garfield's? Delight your sick, twisted side with FindAGrave.com. Yes, just type in the name of a someone who died, and feast your eyes upon not one, but many pictures of that person's grave. Up close and personal. Oh yeah.

Funkbone
Saturday, February 5, 2000 / 09:45 a.m.

'Dirty' design at its best. Funkbone represents the new generation of graphic designers. Startling black and white photos and text are the main ingredients here. The whole site has a kind of mysterious look about it. If you're looking for articles or writing, you're in the wrong place. Funkbone is 100% design.

Naranja: Monologues
Thursday, February 3, 2000 / 04:26 p.m.

I'm in a drama class at my school, so I know how hard it is to find monologues for women (good ones), especially online. My bud Emily was equally as frustrated as me, so she decided to do something about. The result: Naranja, a monologue site for female types. Half of the monologues were written by Emily herself, and the other half were submitted by her loyal readers. I haven't read all of them (there's quite a lot), but the one's I have read are pretty darn good. Go see.

The Hunger Site
Sunday, January 30, 2000 / 01:23 p.m.

It's really simple: just go to the Hunger Site homepage, and click on the 'Donate Free Food' link. Automatically, you have given someone in another country a meal, one small step towards saving them from starvation. Just one click does the trick. The money for the food is donated by sponsors such as iVillage.com and Sprint. Go and donate some food.

Hepburn Fans Against JLH
Sunday, January 23, 2000 / 03:50 p.m.

Audrey Hepburn was (and always will be) hands down the most beautiful and talented woman ever born into this world. So how could a fake, overly done teen queen (Jennifer Love Hewitt) possibly portray her? Who knows. Nonetheless, ABC has been making arrangements to have JLH star as Hepburn in an upcoming bio pic about the actress. If you, too, think this is ludicrous (and I know you do), then show your support for Miss Hepburn and become a part of Hepburn Fans Against JLH.

The Planets in Me
Friday, January 21, 2000 / 10:28 a.m.

I think we have a child prodigy on our hands, and his name is Cameron. I don't know how I could have missed this site, but somehow I did, and I only just recently found it for the first time. Cameron's writing is thoughtful, deep, intelligent, descriptive, and honest. I don't think I will ever be able to write like this kid. He's brilliant (and so are his design skills).

Petco (is bad)
Tuesday, January 18, 2000 / 12:00 p.m.

I don't like Petco (at least the one in my area). I bought a fish there once and not only did it die of a fungus disease (because they don't even take care of the damn things), but it killed one of my other fishes, and caused another to commit suicide. That's right, it jumped out of the tank in an act of rebellion. Then it died. It took my dad about two hours to notice the dead fish that had landed on his foot. Petco, I don't like you.

Is This Toyota?
Tuesday, January 11, 2000 / 04:28 p.m.

I'm turning 16 real soon, so you can probably guess what's on my wish list. (Hint: it has four wheels and an engine.) Yes, I want a car. More specifically, the new Toyota 2000 Echo (in silver). I wouldn't mind having a Volkswagen Jetta either, but I decided the Echo was a bit more pratical and affordable for a first car. (My birthday is March 15th, by the way.)
